Project Description

Sundt is partnering with the City of Denton to complete the widening and reconstruction of Bonnie Brae from a two-lane rural roadway to a four-lane divided urban street with minimal impact on the neighborhood and University of North Texas (UNT) facilities, and within the required time frame and ahead of the UNT football home opener on August 30, 2025. This will provide full capacity on Bonnie Brae. The project consists of two miles of paving, concrete pavement, asphalt Paving, 16,500-SY concrete trail and sidewalk, 9,900 feet of concrete storm pipe, 47 curb inlets, 4,700 foot 12 inch water line, 5,800 feet of 21 and 24 inch sanitary sewer line, 22 sanitary sewer manholes, signal lights at Roselawn Drive & FM 1515 & IH-35E, Contra Flow signals, 55 Street Lights, 28,000 feet pavement markings, 100 small signs, DME Underground electrical communications lines.
